About DJ. A. T.
DJ. A.T., was born in 1969 in the ghettos of Brooklyn NYC. He had all kinds of natural talents. Starting at the age of three reciting the famous poem: “DON’T QUIT’ (By John Greenleaf Whittier) for his kindergarten graduation event.
In 1984 DJ. A. T. naturally became a student of African American theater @ the age of 16. Under the training & mentorship of the late, great theater actor, director & producer: Cecil Alonzo. DJ. A. T. was asked to be a member of the “ALONZO PLAYERS” theater group. He played 3 different characters in the historical “AWOL” live theatrical presentation in. Learning of the theater / acting industry had already begun.
As a drumming student in Bishop Laughlin high school -A. T. was kicked out of the school band; -immediately 9 students from the school band left with him. They formed an independent band. The young teenagers actually booked a recording studio & with a “one take” played Prince, TaMara & the Scene & Morris Day & The Time covers like a stadium cover band, to the shock of their Lawrence St. Studio session engineer.

About DJ. A. T. (cont.)
The NYC club scene adopted DJ. A.T. @ 17 years of age. He was one of the first members of a club scene crew called “THE KIDS -OR “THE CLUB KIDS.” in Manhattan, NYC. in 1987 -he & his best friend: Ricardo “Fish” Narr -began a music promotions operation, that dealt with basically all the major record labels from RCA in the 30 Rockefeller Plaza building, W.E.A. (on Sixth Ave) to Pay-Day records (in the Village.) This helped the artists they were assigned to promote & it also fattened DJ A.T.’s record collection. In addition to throwing album release parties for “A Tribe Called Quest” in 1989; -DJ. & Fish threw the record release party in late 89 for hip-hop group: “De La Soul’s:” “De La Soul” is dead” album @ “CLUB BLDG” in Manhattan.
Asked to be a group member of “Alien Nation / Team Eloheem” (Hip Hop group) in 1994. DJ. A.T. was a background dancer & video treatment writer for this group. They got a chance to share stages with groups like: “The FUGEES” & Busta Rhymes at ‘90’s NYC Hip Hop venues. DJ A.T. took a reluctant “MC. Supernatural” to his first ever NYC official “Freestyle MC battle” @ Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, as members of Alien Nation. Supernatural won the battle. A few months later they attended the famous “Craig G” / Supernatural MC “Battle For Mic Supremacy” @ the “New Music Seminar.” These battles were hosted by “DJ. Clark Kent.” This Battle would rage on for years in the 90’s.

DJ. A. T. participated in construction of four Professional music production / recording studios. Also assisting in construction of an orchestral Studio, featuring a hardwired, fully automated 48 track SSL board with “Wu-Tang clan” founder “Poppa-Wu.” In the lower level of restoration plaza main building on Fulton St. in the Bedford / Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn. NYC. Poppa Wu & DJ. A. T. became involved with the first Hip-Hop internet radio show called: “HIP-HOP 88” They brought Old Dirty Bastard to a live show taping / airing; -then Warren G on another night.

In later years, -A. T. graduated in 2011 from “DUB-SPOT” institute in California; as a formally trained digital studio / live, Audio / Visual Engineer. This DJ. / engineer / producer / editor / writer & host, designs & builds speaker boxes & analog / digital sound / lighting & video systems. He can teach the Ableton LIVE audio / visual engineering platform. -Dj. A. T. sub-contracted event builds with: Live Nation, Tomorrow World, Ultra, Miami Art Festival, Oscars, Tony Awards & more; DJ. A. T. has worked on & engineered large scale Audio / Visual systems & the like for presentation of acts like Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Fleetwood Mac & Deadmou 5 just to begin with.
